Who is Jesus?

Jesus Christ

Some say Jesus was  only a good man. Others say He is God. Still others say He was but a prophet. I ask then, who did Jesus claim to be? What say the Scriptures? What says the Torah? The claims of who Jesus is are absolutely vital! Let us make a careful search as to the things respecting Jesus Christ.

Why Jesus Died

Jesus ChristThe Gospel

Seen a cross lately? We see them atop steeples, on necklaces, and many other places. So, no doubt we realize that one known by the name of Jesus was said to have been crucified by this means of execution! In fact, many popular movies have been put out in relation to this event, though their biblical accuracy may be lacking! We have to ask then, what is the “big deal” about this crucifixion? We need to ask some more questions: Who is Jesus? Was this planned, or a bad turn of events? If it was planned, why? Well, I think we have enough food for thought here, so why don’t we dig in!

Broken People

Christian LifeJesus ChristThe Gospel

Hearts shattered by experiences that one can scarcely comprehend! Yes, it is true for people round the Earth. Inside the outer shell of untold millions, are stories so dark, that it would rattle us to the core! Trusts have been broken to smithereens! How is one ever to hope again? How is one ever to trust again? Yet, is it not true, that inside all, throbs the desire to be loved? To be accepted? To be cared about? To be wanted? Indeed, deep inside run strong emotions! Though sometimes the walls have been built so thick, that others don’t have a clue as to how we actually bleed within! Sometimes the broken lash out in anger. Sometimes they’re withdrawn. At other times, drowning ourselves in some addiction or other. And sadly, and too often, that one source of hope that one ought to have, is also gone, the people who call themselves friends, or parents, or grandparents, or – yes – even those who call themselves Christians! Yet, I challenge you to take a moment with me, one who has also been through “tough stuff,” and see that God, in reality, is so much different than people are! So unlike the picture we may have painted in our mind! Indeed, I myself found a friend in Jesus. I found Him to be a friend so distinct from any on Earth! Someone I could trust. Someone I could talk to. Someone who would listen. Someone who honestly cared. Someone who had demonstrated that He loved me! Someone who loved me despite my faults. Someone who was not a fair weather friend. Someone who wouldn’t betray me. I ask, don’t you want to know Him?

Believe in Jesus?

Christian LifeJesus ChristThe Gospel

There appears to be a lot o2577407550_c8c3ee64a7_bf confusion as to what it means to “believe in Jesus.” Many times the Word of God says something like, “Whoever believes in him [Jesus] should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) Well, the truth is, that this verse is found well into the “book” we are reading! We need to go back, and start in the beginning of the book, in order to understand what such a verse as this means. For often times it is thought, that to believe is not enough. They say, “Well Satan believes in Jesus too!” So also, to simply believe, in order to be saved, is mocked as “easy believism.” So let us examine the “whole story”!

Why is Jesus Called The Saviour?

Jesus ChristThe Gospel

Well, we see first of a223087940_2c7f51c166_bll, that the root word, is save or deliverer. Yet, the meaning is a little deeper than even that, it also means, “preserver.” Now, have we ever stopped to think, Why is Jesus called the Saviour? I think it would be logical to ask a number of questions, and then seek to give a biblical answer for them. One, Whom or what is Jesus saving? What is He saving from? Why does someone save another? And lastly, Why does it also mean “preserver”?

Who Jesus The Messiah Is and How He Changed My Life

Jesus ChristMy TestimonyThe Gospel

I grew up in a typical “Christian” environment. I thought I was a Christian, but I was a hypocrite! I said I loved God, but I hated my fellow man. As a child I was mistreated and it made me an angry person! My thoughts reeled with visions of revenge. I wanted to even the score! Oh, I put on a “nice face,” but it was only a thin veil for a hate-filled heart within. Yes, I read my Bible, I prayed, and I went to church, but it didn’t affect my life. I was a two-faced hypocrite!
