The World’s Problems Solution

The Gospel

Arguing. Fights. Drugs. Gangs. Rape. Hate. Deception. Lies. Porn. Corruption. Murder. Torture. Wars. Theft. Disease. Disasters. Accidents. Famine. Earthquakes. Death. Yes, this world is filled with problems! Our own lives have problems too. Yet, why is it so, and what, if any, solution is there?

Paradise Ends

In the beginning of time God created everything “very good.” There was no hurt. No suffering. All was well, until…the first two rebelled against the God who had given them paradise! Sin entered Eden and death followed. Humanity was now estranged from the God who alone could give them eternal life! The world quickly spiraled out of control with sin running rampant! Cain murdered his own brother Abel! Violence became the norm!

A Warning

However, not all of the world’s people were under the control of sin, there was a man named Noah who was different. He had placed his trust in the Lord. It was during his time that, God warned that He would destroy those off the face of the Earth, those who would persist in their rebellious sinful living, murdering and doing as they pleased! Yet, God was merciful and had Noah build an ark to save whoever would heed Noah’s words of pleading with the people! Sadly, the people didn’t care. Perhaps, they dismissed God and said, “Ah, there is no God! I will live as I want! I don’t need God putting a crimp on all my fun!” However, the deep burst forth and the rains came down, and the people died as payment for all the wickedness they had done!

A Blood-stained Cross

Regrettably, we have not learned from our past mistakes! Once again, humanity is on a selfish, sinful bent, determined to live life without God! Wanting to live in revelry! Once more, the world is filled with all manner of wickedness! We have human-trafficking. We have violent gangs in control of the drug trade. We have corruption in high places. The news if filled with bad news! It trickles down into our own lives and touches us all in some way or another!

Truth be told, none of us are innocent ourselves! We have all contributed to the problems of this world! Yet, despite the guiltiness of us all, God saw fit to send someone to rescue us! We didn’t deserve it. No, we deserved to reap what we had sown! However, God provided us all with a way to escape the consequences our actions and thoughts deserved!

Indeed, God Almighty came to Earth in human flesh – a baby laid in an animal’s manger! No, the Savior did not come to show us how to live a good life. Much rather, He lived a good life to show that He was qualified to be the sin-offering for us upon the altar of the cross! There, on that horrific instrument of death, was nailed the innocent One, who died in place of us guilty ones!

Indeed, “The gospel [good news]…that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures.” Did you get that? Why is this “good news”!? It is, because your sins, past and future, where all placed upon Christ some 2000 years on the cross! For, as we already mentioned, “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned – everyone – to his own way.” Yet, in light of our rebellion, God extended His grace to us by doing this on our behalf, “The LORD laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Then, “He was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities.” Yes, it was your and I sin that is responsible for this gruesome death! Jesus voluntarily took your sin, your place, and died for your sins – all of them! He did it for you! He did it for you because He loves you! But, the “good news” doesn’t end there! “He was buried, he was raised on third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Isaiah 53:5-6) We have a living Savior!

Believe or Cry Crucify?!

Wow! God has provided us with a refuge in a world gone wrong! He has provided us with a real and living Hope – Jesus Christ! He came to save you! To rescue you! Do you believe that all of your sins were heaped upon the Crucified One? If you do, you are saved! You have found your refuge, your shelter, in Jesus Christ! For indeed, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”! (Romans 10:13) Have you called upon Jesus to save you? If not, why not do so right now this very moment?!

Yes, in this world we will have problems, even as Christians. However, listen to Jesus’s words, “I have said these things to you, that you may have peace. In this world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) Yes, we have more wondrous promises! “For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed [our body], we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling…He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee…Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.” (2 Corinthians 5:1-9) Oh, and one more precious promise! “But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” (2 Peter 3:13)

Think of it though, in Noah’s day, the people scoffed at Noah, but the floods came anyway, and the wicked were destroyed. Again, some 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ was rejected by the people of Israel. They cried out, “Crucify, crucify him!” (Luke 23:21) History records that in A.D. 70 Jerusalem was razed. Now today, what will you do with Jesus Christ? Will you bend your knees and call upon Him to save you, and make Him your “shelter,” your “refuge,” or will you scoff as those did in Noah’s time, or will you cry “Crucify, crucify him!”? What will it be? Will you place your confidence in the Savior who took the wrath of God for all the sins of your life time, or will you scoff or reject Him, and face the consequences of your sinful actions yourself? For God has appointed a time of judgement to come! As it is written, “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)

With a certainty, God has offered you a way to escape the problems of this world, through His uniquely born Son, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! It is the time of year when many remember His birth in the little town of Bethlehem! It is this Savior who was to be called, “Immanuel, (which means, God with us).” (Matthew 1:21) He came with the specific mission of being, “The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world,” by His death in your place, for all the sin of your life time, on the cross! (John 1:29)

I leave you with God’s wondrous promise, for one and all, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”! (Romans 10:13)
